Joke of the day

I received this message from a fellow Flickr member.

If it told me that I was disrespectful of copyright laws or intellectual property rights, I would have raised a white flag but that's not my point.

I'm just making fun of commodity fetishism. And that's the joke of the day.

That has to be a prime example of brand loyalty stupidity.

I missed the fine print where Flickr demands that ALL doll photos must be of the "original" doll. Also, if the person were so offended by your dolls, what stopped him/her from just clicking away?

Still, just because someone sent a dumb, provocative message, no need for you to "engage" with them as if the message was anything but pointless and stupid. Yay, Niel, for taking the high road!

Thanks Dana. I was so tempted to reply, I actually did via a testimonial but then I recalled it. I never pretended my doll was authentic since one of my point was that clones have their own charm. I bet iamKing was charmed by the photo but got surprised that something that cute could cost less. Well, the joke is on that person.

I don't see anything wrong with the fake Blythes. I plan on buying one myself in the future so I can practice painting/rooting on it before I'm brave enough to crack the head open of my real Blythe.
