OSS # 107: Christmas Worries

Thoughts on A Grown Up Christmas

Some Christmas days are happier than the others. Christmas may be the most stressful holiday especially if you're one of those who likes everything planned. Being an adult comes with more things to worry about during Christmas - the budget for the gifts, time management for the various gatherings, planning the Christmas dinner etc. Things like that you ignore as a child.

Of course Christmas gives a certain cheer for adults. One major source of happiness for me during Christmas is the pleasure of giving. Nothing warms a heart like the smile and appreciation from the recipient of the gift.

Another thing an adult can do to have a merrier Christmas it's try to be a kid. That was one of my goal this Christmas: make some of my friends feel like a kid even for a moment! What better way to do that but to use my favorite weapon - dolls.

Last night, four friends got introduced to their new dolls. May got Mayumi which she renamed as Chantal. Francis got a Ken doll as Prince Aidan. Elly got the Aaron Carter doll. Mac got Kelly and Tommy as Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Starfish. They were like kids when they opened their presents.

When there is giving, there is also receiving. This blogger received last Saturday a gift from a fellow blogger. For that, I am very grateful. Thank you! Thank you! And merry Christmas.

The essence of Christmas is giving. When it comes first to your heart, you will forever see the holidays like a child. :)
